Ok, so I know a lot of you have heard of monkey bread and a lot haven't. Here's a lovely post explaining monkey bread: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/05/monkey-bread/

Well, today, I saw this post, by the Pioneer Woman: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/12/monkey-muffins/ And I thought, wow, take away the sugar and cinnamon and substitute garlic and you'd have easy garlic rolls. (Ok, most recipes I've ever seen for monkey bread use biscuits, cut into fourths, and that's what I did, because making bread dough for a single 6-hole muffin tin's worth drives me nuts.) And [livejournal.com profile] amezuki suggested using roasted garlic.

So, today, I roasted a head of garlic. Which, of course, smelled marvelous. Then, I put a very small sliver of butter at the bottom of each tin, (I actually did use a VERY small sliver,) balled up the biscuit bits and put three in each muffin tin, topped with a clove to a clove and a half of roasted garlic and another thin sliver of butter. And I baked them until they were done. Voila, homemade garlic rolls of OMG GOODNESS.

Possibly later today, or possibly tomorrow, I shall try the cinnamon monkey muffins, because cinnamon and brown sugar would be lovely.
